Did You Remember to Bring Your Bingo Dauber?
By Craig Crossland
For a bingo player the best part of the game is obviously winning the game and shouting the word "Bingo". When you have one number to go and your palms start to sweat and your heart starts to beat, for some this feeling cannot be beat. For some bingo players, bingo halls are the only way to play bingo, online bingo just will not do. If you find yourself to be one of these people then you will need soothing that is called a bingo dauber as it is an essential tool for any serious bingo player. So, what is a bingo dauber then? a bingo dauber is an ink-filled pen with a big round sponge tip that players use to mark numbers on their card/s as they are called. They come in a wide range of colours and sizes but they all share the same principle. When the bingo dauber touches the bingo card it will leave behind a chip like circle around the number. These circles have enough colours so you are aware of which numbers you have marked off but are transparent enough so you can see which numbers are underneath. The shape of the dauber should fit comfortable in your hand and should feel natural, you have to think, you may be playing for hours. A good dauber should not leak any ink and ink should come out on the first dab with little effort. Daubers are a much more convenient method of marking cards compared to using chips and the only downfall to using them is making sure you do not mark the wrong number off. Doing this will put you off next time that number is called out as you are unable to unmark marked numbers. You do not need a dauber to play bingo, a pen can be used but a dauber will defiantly save you time and effort when playing bingo. Daubers are easily to come across and are relatively cheap; you can either buy them at your local bingo hall or buy them online.
